PRIVACY POLICY

Your sources remain yours.

The short version

Inner Rooms stores the material you deliberately add to your account. It does not read your Apple Notes, Voice Memos, photos, or files unless you actively share or select them. You control whether each item may inform Patterns, remain inside one feature, or be stored without analysis.

What we store

We store account information, writing, transcripts, uploaded originals, reflections, permission choices, and Shared Room membership needed to provide the service. Authentication is provided through Supabase. Account data and originals are stored in access-controlled Cloudflare database and object storage services.

How reflective intelligence works

When you permit analysis, the relevant text or audio may be sent through OpenAI’s API to transcribe or form a reflection. Stored-only material is not sent for analysis. Inner Rooms limits requests to permitted material. If you enable full Inner Rooms context, first and deeper reflections, follow-up conversations, familiar Patterns and Perspectives may retrieve relevant excerpts from your permitted entries, transcripts, reflections and AI conversations, including future additions. A recording without a transcript cannot inform text-based connections yet. Room-only, excluded and stored-only sources remain outside this shared context. You can exclude individual Perspective chats from other AI conversations or turn shared context off. This does not share your content with another person.

Shared Rooms

The other member cannot read your original entries, recordings, or private conversations. Shared Rooms compares only derived themes from the feature categories you explicitly enable. You can change those categories or leave the room.

Membership billing

Website subscriptions are processed by Stripe when website enrollment is open; iPhone in-app purchases are handled by Apple. We store the payment-provider customer or subscription identifiers, plan and verified status needed to provide one membership across devices. Inner Rooms does not store your card number. You manage a website subscription through the Stripe billing portal and an App Store subscription through Apple. Erasing your journal archive does not cancel either subscription.

Your controls

You can export a portable summary of your archive, delete individual entries and their stored originals, turn all-room Patterns permission off, change per-item permission, leave Shared Rooms, or erase the complete Inner Rooms archive from Settings. Erasing the archive removes app content but does not yet delete the underlying sign-in identity or billing records held by a payment provider.

Important limits

Inner Rooms is not a medical device, therapist, crisis service, or diagnostic system. Do not use it for emergencies or as a substitute for professional care. Avoid uploading another person’s private material without their permission.
